Update to the website - 5th April 2012

28 March 2012.  Tons of concrete were poured onto the new Hayle bridge, the whole event captured with time-lapse photography.  From the 3000+ photos captured a DVD has been created which is now available at just £5.50.

The DVD will make a great souvenir of this iconic moment.  The time-lapse video has been shown on BBC TV with pictures in the local press. DETAILS HERE

We also have a slide show where you can see some of the photos taken.  If you have any you would like us to add to the show please email them to the Archive. Thank you.

Her Majesty, The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.  Hayle Archive has been asked to help produce booklets commemorating the Diamond Jubilee.  The Archive would be grateful if you have any documents, photos or video relating to past Jubilee Celebrations in the Town. The Archive does have some but the more the merrier.

Also, if you have memories of such visits we would like to record them for possible inclusion.  Pop into the Archive when it is open or
Thank you.

The Archive was created to provide a means of recording and keeping the Heritage of Hayle in a safe environment and to provide easy access to the Archive for anyone wishing to browse its contents. Therefore, if you have any photographs, books, documents, maps etc you would like to donate to the Archive please contact us. If you would prefer to keep them yourself but do not mind us taking copies for the archive then we would be happy to do that.  Whatever you do, do not let your versions of Hayle’s past go mouldy in the attic. They could fill a vital gap in the history of the Town.

Visiting the Archive for the first time? Go to this page for a map and directions.

The Archive is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays
